Apprentice Learning Program (16 years old and over)
The Apprentice Learning Program is a unique school without walls that offers self-motivation, entrepreneurship, academic skills, independence, democracy, and real world corporate experience.
Philosophy
The most extraordinary people in life pursue their passions and live closely in harmony with their nature. A striking example of this is the principled and successful entrepreneur. The Iniabi Free School combines an unapologetic exploration of the student's interests and curiosity with the self-determining environment of entrepreneurship to create a unique educational experience.
Program Description
A healthy and vibrant pursuit of one's natural curiosity is key to both a successful career and to a fulfilling life. With this in mind, students will decide what they will study and how. Each student is assigned their own personal learning coach, who will facilitate their apprenticeship, monitor progress, and offer classes and tutoring outside of apprenticeship hours.
In addition, area businesses will be contracted to work with the students, teaching them the skills necessary in each industry the students find interest. Through this apprentice-like format, students will learn hands-on skills that indirectly teach them academic skills necessary for their future careers. The completion of the program is the literal launch of the student's new entrepreneurial endeavor.
Schedule & Locations
Classes are offered in various locations throughout the metroplex. Group classes are offered at $50 per class. One-on-one mentoring is offered at $40 per hour. Most students participate in both. We recommend starting off with the classes to the introductory classes to assist you in choosing your mentor and focus for the program. Other classes will be offered that will pertain to the end of your progress with us (classes offered by area business owners - geared to help you find funding, write a business plan, and other important business-related subject matter).
Classes are offered year-round, so enrollment is on-going.
Location for One-on-One Mentoring
Students work with their academic coaches in public spaces that they
feel will enable them to make the most of their tutoring time. These
locations can be anything from public libraries, cafes, parks, or any
other mutually agreeable public location.
Transportation must be arranged by the student or the student's family.
